I graduated from Royal Holloway
University of London in 1999 with a BA in Drama & Theatre Studies. Upon
graduating I began working in film and television and I was very fortunate to
have worked in the Locations and Assistant Director department on some of the
biggest British films of the noughties including Bridget Jones’s Diary, Pride & Prejudice, RocknRolla, Atonement,
Wimbledon and Harry Brown, as well
as numerous TV, commercial, short films and music projects.
In 2005 I returned to university
and undertook an MA at the Central School of Speech and Drama which I completed
in 2006. Since then I have taught at numerous drama schools including the
Central School of Speech and Drama, Drama Centre, Italia Conti, The London
School of Dramatic Art and the Caravanserai. I have coached accent and dialect on several
theatrical productions including the current tour of Carrie’s War for the Novel Theatre Company.
Since retraining I have maintained
strong links with film and television. Recent credits include the feature films Ninja Assassin and Lesbian
Vampire Killers and ITV drama Affinity.
I have worked as a freelance
dialect coach for The National Theatre’s INSET training scheme training other
coaches to teach accent and dialect and have taught future voice coaches on the
MA Voice studies course at Central.
My corporate work has included
clients from all sectors including personal trainers and fitness instructors,
barristers, teachers and TV presenters.
I specialise in accent and
dialect. |
